Camouflage for baldness – DermMatch

DermMatch is a cosmetic camouflage product, similar to foundation, often used to camouflage thinning hair or post-transplant scars.

Produced by the American company DermMatch Inc, thanks to its composition, it is able to anchor itself to the hair, making the scalp more covered and richer. That is why it is necessary that there is a minimum density to which to make the product bind.

It comes in the form of a paste inserted in a disc. Using a pad, after having moistened the product, it is possible to apply it on the interested areas. After the application you proceed to dry the hair.

It is available in different colors, depending on the skin and hair tone. The available shades are blonde, gray, light brown, brunette, medium brown, dark brown and black.

In what cases can dermmatch be used?

It is very popular among those suffering from androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata and among women who manifest thinning.

Of course it is important to emphasize the fact that DermMatch is not a long-term strategy as it must be reapplied after each wash with shampoo.

DermMatch Resists Water?

A similar product to DermMatch is Toppik. This is a camouflage consisting of keratin microfibers that, when shaken, become electrostatically charged and anchor themselves to the hair, but are not water resistant.

DermMatch, on the other hand, is prized for its resistance to sweat, rain, pool and sea bathing. As noted above, it can be removed with a shampoo.

It is advisable to avoid keeping the product on the skin for too long in order to avoid a prolonged occlusion of the skin that could cause irritation.

Are there any side effects?

There are no particular side effects associated with the use of this product, other than occasional allergic reactions in predisposed individuals due to particularly sensitive skin.

In case of an allergic reaction or irritation it is of course recommended to discontinue the application of the cosmetic.

DermMatch can be used in combination with other treatments medications for baldness.
